Run the Rocks Fundraiser

ALAC-logo 363

Dear Family and Friends,
I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support Kaiser Permanente Run the 'Rocks.  This is a 5K run/walk at Red Rocks Park with a grueling finish up the famous amphitheater stairs.  The proceeds from this event support the critical programs and services of the American Lung Association in Colorado.  Whether helping teens quit their tobacco addiction, empowering people with lung disease, educating youth about their asthma or cleaning the air for all of us, the work of the American Lung Association is more critical now than ever before!  Please help support me in this important project by contributing generously.
No gift is wasted and ALAC understand that great rewards come in small packages. Their programs are the foundation on which they stand in their fight for clean air and healthy lungs. From advocating for smoke- free workplaces, to educating youth about the dangers of smoking, and even working to reduce air pollution, every dollar counts.

  • $25 - provides incentives for one youth to participate in Not On Tobacco, Colorado’s only teen smoking cessation program
  • $50 - willcover the application processing fee for 2 asthma camp participants or sponsors one participant to attend a Breathing Matters symposium on living well with lung disease
  • $150 - will sponsor 3 adults to receive asthma education and resources from Breathe Well, Live Well, the asthma education program for adults
  • $1,100 - will fully sponsor one child to attend the asthma education program, for youth called Champ Camp for 1 week, receive asthma education, and learn how to manage their asthma
  • $3,500 - will allow one elementary school to fully implement the CASEO (Clean Air at Schools: Engines Off!) Program, providing cleaner indoor and outdoor air at schools
  • $5,000 - will sponsor the annual Not On Tobacco facilitator training and education summit.
Thank you for joining this important fight for children with asthma, teens who are pressured to start smoking, people with lung cancer and emphysema, and everyone who wants to breathe healthy air in our communities.
It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause by making your tax-deductible donation online using the link below. If you would prefer, you can send your contribution to the address listed below.
Whatever you can contribute will help to bring the American Lung Association one step and one breath closer to acheiving our mission! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
